William Osorio: Common Ground

Common Ground is a body of work by William Osorio spanning the past four years, bringing together oil stick paintings, fabric works, and collage inspired by everyday scenes and quiet, often overlooked moments. At first glance, these images may feel familiar or ordinary, but they hold stories and emotions shaped by memory, place, migration, family separation, and the rhythms of daily life. Homes and shared spaces become places where personal histories and experiences come together

The exhibition invites us to look more closely at the everyday, the spaces we move through, the people we live alongside, and the moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. It asks us to slow down and consider how something familiar can hold different meanings for different people. Curated by Milly Cardoso, Common Ground is an invitation to pay attention to the things we share, the experiences that shape us differently, and the ways we inhabit the same world without ever experiencing it in quite the same way.
